Xbox Series X Will Tweak The Xbox Controller Ever So Slightly

With Xbox setting the internet ablaze with their unexpected announcement of the Xbox Series X at The Game Awards this morning, GameSpot had the time to have a chat with Phil Spencer about how they’re improving the Xbox One controller for Xbox Series X.

Obviously, your old accessories will still work, but anyone who grabs one of the newer controllers will be able to enjoy some of these slight tweaks and benefits.

For one, the controller will feature a new “hybrid” directional pad as well as a dedicated share button, a notably absent button that Nintendo and Sony have had for years.

Surprisingly, the new Xbox Series X controllers will also work on your already existing Xbox One and PC.

Xbox Series X is scheduled for release in Holiday 2020.
