Developed by Cococucumber, a small studio out of Ontario, Canada, Echo Generation appears to be a turn-based adventure game that really captures the Stranger Things vibe, to the point where the lead character even looks like a voxel-representation of Dustin from the show.
Many have noted the game experience appears to be inspired by classics like Earthbound as well as other games from that era and the trailer certainly shows this with a lot of wide-open, lush vistas with the turn-based combat appearing to drive the core experience. As seen in the trailer, you’re able to at least have a party of three with Dylan, the protagonist, being aided by his little sister and cat, Meowsy.
