A Plague Tale: Innocence Is Getting A Free PS5/Xbox Series X Upgrade Soon

Following the reveal of the sequel at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, it appears that the first game is about to get the next-gen treatment too.

An update for A Plague Tale: Innocence will be coming to optimise the game for Xbox Series S|X and PlayStation 5 on July 6th. The update is said to bring 4K resolution rendering as well as a 60 FPS mode. 3D audio support will also be included in this enhanced edition, allowing you to pretend rats are coming at you from all angles. That’s hot.

The trailer for the new edition was shown at the event and is below:

Brodie enjoyed the game in his review back when the game launched, and it even narrowly made the top 10 for the Press Start crew’s game of the year awards for 2019 too. It’s well worth checking out as I loved it when I first finished it at launch too.

A Plague Tale: Innocence is available now for the Xbox platforms via Game Pass. The upgrade is free and will be available for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 owners from July 6th.
