Halo Infinite’s New Campaign Overview Trailer Shows Off Improved Open World Gameplay

The first Halo Infinite campaign gameplay footage in well over a year has been shown off today, just a couple of months out from launch and it definitely looks a lot better.

It’s very clear throughout the entire gameplay overview, that the lighting and character models have all been improved significantly, and obviously the campaign incorporates the slick gunplay that we’d seen in the recent multiplayer preview.

As we already knew, the game will be taking place in an open world, which we get a look at in this 7 minute overview. The footage showcases outposts which Master Chief will need to take over. There seems to be a number of these throughout the open world map.

The game will also allow Master Chief to upgrade his abilities and weapons, through something that resembles a skill tree. We also got a look at some returning enemies and familiar ones too, and learnt more about the story which sees Master Chief trying to figure out what happened to Cortana.

Halo Infinite launches on December 8th for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs.
