Xbox opened its stack Xbox Games Showcase with something that many of us were desperately hoping to see – a brand-new trailer for Playground Games’ Fable.
The trailer introduces us to Dave: a certified Vegetable Enthusiast and actual giant played by The IT Crowd’s Richard Ayoade. The trailer doesn’t explicitly show any “raw” gameplay but is apparently rendered in-engine and looks incredibly good doing so. As far as the franchise’ tone and themes go, it all seems to be represented here right down to some good ol’ fashioned chicken kicking.
Another thing we don’t quite have yet is any kind of release date or window, but hopefully Fable fans won’t be left waiting too long to see what’s new in the world of Albio.
