During a financial call this morning, CD Projekt Red confirmed that the first full expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 is likely to launch in 2023.
Since launching on newer-gen hardware, it’s not unreasonable to say that the game has been in a relatively good place. It’s still got work to do in terms of earning back the lost goodwill from the troubled launch which saw the game pulled from the PlayStation store.
As it was mentioned in @CDPROJEKTRED_IR financial call moments ago, Cyberpunk 2077's upcoming expansion will arrive in 2023. Please stay tuned for more details coming later this year ? https://t.co/rq1w6RDTDL

Beyond its existence, and the fact it’ll still be developed using CD Projekt Red’s in-house engine despite the company’s move to Unreal for future projects, details about the expansion are rather scarce.
The financial call did confirm a lot of the other production plans for the remainder of the year at CD Projekt Red. They include developmental work on the next instalment of The Witcher in Unreal Engine 5, development on the next-gen version of The Witcher 3 after work on it was brought in-house, as well as concepts and research for unannounced projects.
