The Nintendo Switch 2 had it’s proper reveal overnight during the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, and is set for release on June 5th, 2025. The console is a decent upgrade on the original, despite having an LCD screen, and subsequently comes with a sizeable increase in price at launch.
Two SKUs are coming at launch, one just including the console and the second bundling in the newly announced Mario Kart World.
NINTENDO SWITCH 2 AUSTRALIAN PRICE AND RELEASE DATE
The console itself will cost $699 AUD here in Australia, and the bundle with Mario Kart World will retail at $769 AUD and will release on June 5th.
- Nintendo Switch 2 Console – $699 AUD
- Nintendo Switch 2 Console + Mario Kart World – $769 AUD
Compared to US prices, it’s not as bad as it could have been. The USD $449 price on today’s conversion rates would have come in above AUD $700 so a price starting with a six isn’t a bad result.
WHEN DO NINTENDO SWITCH 2 AUSTRALIAN PRE-ORDERS GO LIVE
