All three phones will be available on January 29th with pre-orders starting today.  When it comes to pricing, the Samsung Galaxy S21 will start at $1,249, the Samsung Galaxy S21+ will start at $1,549 and the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra will start at $1,849.

Here are the reasons why you should be excited about the new Samsung Galaxy S21 lineup.

Improved Displays

Each of the Samsung Galaxy S21 phones will come with an AMOLED display that is capable of dynamic refresh rates up to 120Hz which will maximise the smoothness of scrolling and provide an incredible gaming experience. The Galaxy S21 has a 6.2 inch FHD display, the Galaxy S21+ has a 6.7 inch FHD display and the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra has a 6.8 inch WQHD display that is the brightest display in a Samsung smart phone at 1,500 nits.

Improved Cameras

The most exciting thing about getting a new smartphone is the updated camera and the Samsung Galaxy S21 range delivers. The S21 Ultra features an epic 108MP sensor – the highest resolution camera on a phone. It allows you to crop in again and again on images and retain sharp quality – you can also print images and blow them up without that dreaded degradation that many smartphone photos experience.

Garry McGregor, Vice-President of Mobile, Samsung Electronics Australia said, “The S21 introduces new camera features that make it easier than ever to capture share-ready moments. The innovative new Director’s View lets you shoot video with different lenses at the same time. And you can use Vlogger Mode to capture content with the front and back cameras simultaneously. For the first time, you can also record 4K video at 60fps with all camera lenses, and even record 8K footage in low-light environments with incredible quality².”

All three phones record in amazing 8K quality, they also shoot like an action cam in 60FPS super steady mode. The 8K footage is so crisp, you can even take a 33MP high resolution photo straight from a video whilst watching it back.¹

Camera

The Samsung Galaxy S21 and S21+ have a 10 megapixel front facing camera, a 12 megapixel ultra wide camera, a 12 megapixel wide camera and a 64 megapixel telephone camera.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra goes even further with a 108MP sensor and four rear cameras with 12bit HDR capabilities. The most impressive part of this is that it has two telephoto lenses that allow you to zoom up to 100x which includes 10x optical zoom – making it the sharpest quality zoom on a smartphone.

Galaxy 21 Ultra’s S Pen

If you’ve used one of the Samsung Galaxy Note phones, you’ll know that having a pen is one of the best parts about it. Samsung is now extending this functionality to more of the Galaxy range with the S21 Ultra which is compatible with the Samsung Galaxy S pen(4). This will allow you to take notes, or precisely edit photos and videos on the fly. A separate folio case can also be purchased to store the pen.

Fancy New Colours

Not only do all three phones come in a new matte finish, there’s also a bunch of new colours. The Samsung Galaxy S21 comes in Phantom Violet, Phantom Pink, Phantom Gray, Phantom White, S21+ comes in Phantom Violet, Phantom Black and Phantom Silver whilst the Samsung Galaxy Ultra comes in Phantom Black and Phantom Silver which both look stunning.

Faster Processor

The Samsung Galaxy S21 range has brand new 5nm processor which results in a 20% faster CPU and a 35% faster GPU than the S20 range. This should result in stable gaming, the ability to multitask super fast and provide incredible stability when cloud gaming with the likes of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
