Shadow of the Colossus is a very intriguing game. It’s different to a lot of the games of today in the sense that the game literally gives you no direction in most scenarios. You’ll need to track down all 16 Colossus and then kill them using different techniques.
COLOSSUS 1 – WANDERER
You can find Colossus 1 by raising your sword and following the beam or heading to F4 on your map. To kill it, you’ll need to raise your sword towards the Colossus in order to find its weak points. For this Colossus you just need to grab the fur on the back of his left leg and stab the illuminating panel. He will then stumble allowing you to climb onto the platform above his bottom and then climb towards his head and stab the panel on his head.
COLOSSUS 2 – MAMMOTH
You can find Colossus 2 by raising your sword and following the beam or heading to F5 on your map. To kill it, you’ll need to raise your sword towards the Colossus in order to find its weak points. You’ll need to switch to your bow and wait for Colossus 2 to try and stomp you with your front feet. You’ll need to hit him at the bottom of his foot. He’ll then fall to his knees and allow you to climb up. You’ll once again need to climb up to his head and stab the glowing panel. You’ll then need to back back down to find another glowing panel near his bum.
COLOSSUS 3 – KNIGHT
You can find Colossus 3 by raising your sword and following the beam or heading to E2 on your map. To kill it, you’ll need to raise your sword towards the Colossus in order to find its weak points. You’ll need to stand in the centre circle and allow the Colossus to hit it in order to damage his armour. You’ll then need to get him to swing his sword whilst in the grass and climb onto the sword. You can then climb all the way up to his head and stab the glowing panel. Then head back down to the mid-riff area and climb up to his stomach in order to stab the glowing panel until he dies.
COLOSSUS 4 – GRAVESTONE HORSE
You can find Colossus 4 by raising your sword and following the beam or heading to G5 on your map. To kill it, you’ll need to raise your sword towards the Colossus in order to find its weak points. This ones a bit different. You’ll need to shoot the horse with some arrows and lure him into one of three points in the middle (with the openings). Head underground until he starts pounding near one of the openings and jump on using one of the hanging bits of his head. You’ll then need to climb around near his back and stab the weak glowing point once. You’ll then have to climb up to the top of his head and stab the glowing panel until he’s dead.
COLOSSUS 5 – THE BAT
You can find Colossus 5 by raising your sword and following the beam or heading to H4 on your map. To kill it, you’ll need to raise your sword towards the Colossus in order to find its weak points. Once you’ve made your way up to the perch, you’ll need to shoot a few arrows to the Colossus attention. You’ll need to wait until it swoops and jump onto its shoulders. You then need to crawl to the tail and stab the glowing panel. You’ll then need to run to the tip of the wing and find a patch without fur and stab the glowing panel. You’ll then need to run to the other wing and do the same.
COLOSSUS 6 – THE TEMPLATE GIANT
You can find Colossus 6 by raising your sword and following the beam or heading to D6 on your map. To kill it, you’ll need to raise your sword towards the Colossus in order to find its weak points. The Temple Giant will be hard to see. He’ll try to stomp you once you enter the arena, but you’ll need to climb walls to avoid him. Keep going until you see an area underneath a stone platform with pillars. He’ll then lower his deck below and you’ll need to run out and jump into his beard. You can then stab the weak spot on his head and find another glowing spot near his left shoulder blade which you’ll need to stab.
