Here’s Your First Look At The Unlockable Costumes In Resident Evil 3

As per series tradition, Resident Evil 3 features a few unlockable costumes acquired through a variety of means. Unfortunately, while not as numerous as the costumes found in last year’s Resident Evil 2, there’s still some very neat costumes that function solely as throwbacks to the original game.

Below are all the costumes you can unlock in Resident Evil 3, and how to unlock them.

EXTRA COSTUME FOR JILL – S.T.A.R.S. GEAR

You can unlock this costume after completing the game for only 2000 points in the Shop, which is also unlocked after finishing the game. While the costume doesn’t quite look as over the top as it first appeared, the costume pays tribute to Jill’s appearance in the game that started it all – Resident Evil. The shoulder pads and the goofy hat are all there, albeit less emphasised. Still, it’s a great throwback to the original game.

EXTRA COSTUME FOR JILL – CLASSIC 1999 LOOK

This costume is a preorder bonus, so get to it if you haven’t already! The costume includes Jill’s classic haircut, bright blue boob tube, waist tied sweater and of course bright brown boots. The costume is obviously modeled after what Jill looked like in the original 1999 game, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. There’s something deliciously corny about how impractical this outfit is, but you honestly can’t beat this retro look.

EXTRA COSTUME FOR CARLOS – CLASSIC 1999 HAIRCUT

Unfortunately, Carlos doesn’t get to accessorise as much as Jill, having only one costume and even then it’s also only available as a preorder bonus. The costume aims to channel the more clean-cut appearance of Carlos in the original 1999 game. I don’t know about you, but the new more scruffier look is a much better look for the raging Spaniard. Everything else about Carlos remains the same – he literally just gets a haircut and has a shave.

And that’s about it! Not as many as Resident Evil 2, as mentioned before, but still some nice throwbacks to the original games.
