It has been announced in a farewell blog that Bioware’s general manager, Aaryn Flynn will be departing the studio after a stint of contemplating changes. He’s to be replaced by Casey Hudson, producer of Mass Effect, who is returning to the company after he left back in 2014.
In his seventeen years at the company, Flynn worked on Neverwinter Nights, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and Jade Empire. Though he’s exiting, he’ll work with Hudson until he officially departs at the month’s end.
“The last few years have been transformative for me,” Casey Hudson said in a separate blog. “From having time to reflect on what I most want to do, to working with new technologies at platform scale. And now, I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to return to lead BioWare – a studio that I think of as home.
“When I look at the stunning progress Aaryn and the team has made with Anthem, and the other projects in the works, I truly believe our best is yet to come.”
