Following their surprise release earlier in the month, fans will be happy to know that Bethesda has begun patching DOOM and DOOM II so that they won’t require the internet or a Bethesda.net account.
Bethesda has also confirmed that they’ll be working on something a little bit more permanent in the future too, which will presumably make the Bethesda.net situation much more invisible.
We are working on a more permanent fix to further reduce the visibility of the optional login. We do not have an estimated release just yet, but we'll let you know as soon as we can. Thank you for your feedback!

That being said, keen fans of the storied franchise would’ve noticed that there were issues with the audio in these ports, which has yet to be fixed.
DOOM and DOOM II are both available now on your digital platform of choice. DOOM 3, which was surrounded with much less controversy, is also available.
