Quibi has just launched around the world and it’s different to other streaming services in the fact all of the shows are designed for mobile devices. All shows must have episodes or chapters that are 10 minutes or less. There’s also some pretty impressive tech in the fact that shows dynamically turn with your phone to perfectly display portrait or landscape video footage.

The most impressive thing about Quibi is the fact that it’s launching with a bunch of well-known shows and celebrities with way, way more on the way.
For instance, Punk’d is back, Lebron James has a show called ‘I Promise’, Liam Hemsworth has a new thriller called ‘Most Dangerous Game’, Jennifer Lopez has a show called ‘Thanks a Million’, Reece Witherspoon voices a show about wildlife called ‘Fierce Queens’, Chrissy Teagan has her own Judge Judy styled takeoff called ‘Chrissy’s Court’, Nicole Ritchie has a brand new reality show and Will Arnett is hosting a show called ‘Memory Hole’. This is just a small handful of the 50+ shows available on day one, which seems larger than any other streaming service that I can remember on day one. There’s also a number of daily shows bringing you the latest in sports, celebrity news and more.

You can grab the app now with a 90 day free trial. It’ll then be $12.99 a month after that. You can find Quibi on the App store right HERE and on the Google Play Store HERE.
It’ll be interesting to see how it plays out past that 90 day period. It seems like there’s a wealth of video content on the way, so I don’t think that’ll be a problem, but obviously there’s only so many streaming services that people want to pay for.
