Samsung Is Finally Entering The OLED TV Game With A 65″ Quantum Dot OLED Display

Yesterday we reported on Samsung’s announced new TV line-up for 2022, which includes brighter Neo QLED panels, better support for gaming and more.

What wasn’t announced but has now been revealed in an unconventional way, was the company’s new foray into the OLED TV market.

Despite having not been officially unveiled yet, we now know thanks to its inclusion in the CES 2022 Innovation Awards list that Samsung is bringing a 65″ Quantom Dot Display television to market this year to rival those of other major TV manufacturers like Sony and LG (you can read about LG’s 2022 OLED line-up here).

The new “QD-Display TV” is apparently the world’s first true RGB self-emitting Quantum Dot OLED display, combining the advantages in contrast of OLED panels with the brightness of the quantum dot technology that Samsung is known for. Along with this is the same gorgeous Infinity One design from its Neo QLED range along with Object Tracking Sound, the 2022 Neo Quantum Processor, a 144Hz refresh rate and four HDMI 2.1 inputs.

When we do finally see this new TV revealed it should prove especially enticing for gamers, mixing the gaming and picture advantages of OLED with Samsung’s already-fantastic technology.

As of yet we have no other information on the TV including sizes other than 65″, or even any product images, but we’ll bring you more as it’s revealed.
