The marketing machine for the Super Mario Bros. Movie is in full gear right now, pumping out trailers, TV spots and posters on the regular, but this might just be the best one yet.
A commercial has appeared for the Super Mario Bros. Plumbing business, featuring the iconic brothers, a catchy rap jingle that fans of the classic cartoon might recognise, a “testimonial” and even a dedicated hotline and website – pretty much everything you could ask for in a cheesy 90s local TV ad.

The best part? The website at smbplumbing.com is very real and also very 90s featuring scrolling banners, some unfortunate reviews, a careers section and naturally some broken images. While we couldn’t test it from here, the phone number on the website presumably also works. Just keep in mind the Mario Bros. only service the Brooklyn and Queens areas!

As previously announced, the film is being produced in collaboration between Shigeru Miyamoto/Nintendo and Chris Meledandri/Illumination and will feature a star-studded cast including Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Jack Black, Charlie Day, Seth Rogen, Keegan-Michael Key and Charles Martinet.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie is set to release in Australian theatres on April 6th, 2023.
