Devolver has finally announced the date and time for its highly-anticipated and always-chaotic Devolver Direct, running on June 9th at the somewhat-reasonable time of 8AM AEST.
The Devolver Direct for 2023 will feature new game announcements, playable demos and other surprises including the “return” of Volvy – a rodent mascot that Devolver is currently attempting to gaslight the world into believing has been around for 30 years and starred in numerous Devolver titles. I can’t wait to see what they do with this in the presentation.
The press release reads, “For generations of gamers, this is where it all began. The cultural icon of the gaming industry, more influential than any pop-star or politician,” and honestly I’m here for this new narrative. I’ll take it. Viva la Volvy.
