Paramount has dropped a first look at the logo treatment for the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 3 film, and while a logo might not sound all that exciting in the grand scheme of things, this reveal definitely holds some exciting details.
For starters, we get to see the dual visuals of not just Sonic, but also the edgehog himself, Shadow. The logo exemplifies the duality of light and dark, of good an evil, of ska fans and nu-metal enjoyers. It’s also special because, at least in the teaser video below, it contains a neat orchestral sting inspire by the opening riff of the Sonic Adventure 2 theme, Live & Learn.

On social media, Paramount has also been revealing and re-confirming the cast for the film, which will once again feature James Marsden, Ben Schwartz, Lee Majdoub, Colleen O’Shaughnessey, Tom Butler, Tika Sumpter, Idris Elba and – finally solidifying his return – Jim Carrey as Robotnik.
On top of the confirmation that Carrey will be returning for the film, IGN has also separately reported a whole host of new additions to the film including Krysten Ritter, Alyla Browne, James Wolk, Sofia Pernas, Cristo Fernández, and Jorma Taccone.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is slated to hit cinemas in December this year.
