MultiVersus, WB Games’ recently re-launched platform fighter bringing together worlds and characters from across the Warner-verse, is entering its second season this week on July 23rd (or 23rd-ish, with timezones), and entering the game for the first time along with the season’s debut is none other than Samurai Jack.
Jack will be a Bruiser class fighter, who WB Games says will “utilise his mystical katana blade, agile footwork, and quick reflexes to send opponents flying off the map,” and will also have a Righteous Warrior Jack variant available to purchase.
Along with Jack, in the reveal trailer we can also see that Beetlejuice is set to arrive in the game this season, presumably time with the release of the film sequel, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice in early September. The Animaniacs are also hinted at, here.
MultiVersus Season 2 will also introduces the game’s Ranked Mode, which will allow players to face off in 1v1 or 2v2 matches with leaderboards and a new stream of points with which to unlock exclusive new cosmetics based on rank, including Gold, Diamond and Master Skins so you can really show off your dedication to the game.
And in additionally-exciting news, the iconic Warner Brothers Water Tower is finally coming to the party as a stage in Season 2, and it actually looks pretty schmick based on this reveal image from the MultiVersus official account:
