It’s been announced that Sydney Sweeney, the star of Anyone But You, Euphoria, and Madame Web, is set to co-lead the upcoming film adaptation of Split Fiction, the critically acclaimed third title from Josef Fares and Hazelight Studios.
Sources have told Variety that it’s uncertain, at this stage, which of Mio or Zoe she’ll portray; however, if we’re going on looks alone, you’d expect she’s favoured to be Zoe, the more docile of the leads.
Attached to direct is Jon M. Chu, who is coming fresh off of Wicked and its sequel, while the screenplay is being handled by Deadpool & Wolverine’s writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. The film is being produced by Story Kitchen with Sweeney herself expected to co-produce.
