Disney Lorcana’s 13th set release, Attack of the Vine, is bursting into stores oh so soon with pre-release happening on July 17th, AND it is growing the game even further with more new franchises and mechanics!
As we saw in the previous set ‘Wilds Unknown’, Attack of the Vine is continuing the addition of more Pixar characters to Disney Lorcana. This time around we’re seeing the likes of Monsters Inc, Up and Turning Red joining their fellow glimmers in the Inklands, bringing with them new mechanics like ‘Temporary Shift’, new Team Up character cards, as well as new Classifications like Vinelings; cursed looking versions of glimmers created to protect the Vine and that also give Floodborn characters some serious buffs. Needless to say, it looks like this particular set is digging its roots in to all the right places and lifting the game to new heights.
So with that…shall we reveal a new card from the set?!
We are excited to reveal one of the new Items cards coming to Disney Lorcana’s Attack of the Vine – Laugh Canister.
Laugh Canister is an uninkable 3 cost Item for the Sapphire ink family. It’s ability is ‘Copycat’ – allowing players to exert the item in order to ‘put the top card of your deck into your inkwell facedown and exerted. Chosen opponent may put the top card of their deck into their inkwell facedown and exerted.’ Not a bad ability at all for a little inkwell ramping – especially since set rotation (which the Attack of the Vine launch marks) knocks out a lot of the tradition ramping options players are use to. Laugh Canister is of the Rare rarity and is showcasing some brilliant artwork by the very talent Rudy Hill who has given some Lorcana Art greats like Robin Hood Champion of Sherwood, Baymax’s Healthcare Chip and Della Duck Unstoppable Mum!
Disney Lorcana’s Attack of the Vine is releasing in July, with Pre-release events and inventory hitting Local Game Stores on July 17, and Mass Retail release happening July 24.
