Nintendo Switch Will No Longer Get Monthly Super Nintendo And NES Games

Ever since NES games were released on Nintendo Switch a year ago, Nintendo has added one, two or sometimes even three games to the service every month.

Nintendo has confirmed with Vooks that this will no longer be the case. Vooks spotted an interesting bit of wording on the Nintendo Japan website before confirming with Nintendo Australia that games would no longer release every month, but rather at different times throughout the year. It’s not clear why the reason for the change.

Nintendo of Australia said to Vooks: “more games will be added after launch, but those releases will not adhere to a regular schedule”.

Lucky, Nintendo dropped 20 SNES games with the addition of the platform to the Nintendo Switch Online service. You can find all of the details for that HERE.

Thanks, Vooks.
