Nintendo has finally lifted the lid off Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury in a seven minute video as well as on the official website overnight.
We now know that Bowser’s Fury is considered to be completely separate to Super Mario 3D World. It’s a free-roaming adventure that takes place in Lake Lapcat in which Mario must collect Cat Shines in order to unlock the Giga bell which will let Mario transform into Giga cat Mario to defeat Bowser.
Bowser Jr will fight alongside you and a second play can take control of him fighting enemies and uncovering secrets.
Bowser will be unleashed at sporadic times wreaking havoc on the entire world, before going back in his shell and calm is restored. All of the enemies have also been turned into cats as well.
A new snapshot mode was also revealed for both Super Mario 3D World and Bowser’s Fury in which you can stop time in order to take some epic looking photos.
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is out on February 12th.
