The Mario Kart World Nintendo Direct took place and whilst a lot of it was going over what we already knew in more detail, we got to see more of the new Free Roam mode and find out what it’s about.
Within the Free Roam mode, there will be hundreds of missions which are hidden within P switches around the world. The example given in the Direct was collecting 8 blue coins within a time limit and reaching the goal.
It was also revealed that there is hidden coins called Peach’s Medallions as well as hidden ? panels and other missions/hidden items were also teased.
You’ll also be able to take part in free roam with friends online and whilst waiting to join matches. The free roam mode in Mario Kart World lets you go anywhere within the World and visit all of the courses and the areas within them.
It was also confirmed that new Battle Modes as well as VS modes will be in the game in addition to the previously confirmed Grand Prix and Knockout Tour modes.
