Nintendo has released its latest financial results and to not a heap of shock, the Nintendo Switch 2 is selling extremely well.
In its first two quarters on sale, the Nintendo Switch 2 has sold 10.36 million units which is well ahead of the original Switch (4.7 million) and the PS5 (7.8 million) cementing its place as the fastest selling console of all time.
It’s selling so well in fact that Nintendo has raised its hardware forecast up to 19m units (from 15 million) for the whole financial year.
As far as games go, Mario Kart World managed to sell 9.57 million units (that includes bundles sold), Donkey Kong Bananza sold 3.49 million units and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Mario Jamboree both managed to shift another 1.37 million units. No other Nintendo Switch 2 software was listed, but we’d expect this to change next time around.
It goes without saying that the Nintendo Switch 2 has been a huge success for Nintendo who finds itself in an incredible position both from a software slate line-up, hardware/software shipped as well as pure revenue.
