Valve’s long-rumoured VR headset has finally been revealed. It’s called the Valve Index and it’s coming in May. Valve launched the website for Index, with nothing but an image, the tagline ‘Upgrade your experience’ and the date ‘May 2019’.
Whilst Valve’s website doesn’t have a whole lot of information, Arstechnica has learned some more information about the product. The headset will have at least two sensors, and a wider 135 degree FOV (Oculus Rift and the HTV Vive has a 110 degree FOV).
Whilst there have been many, many rumours over the last few years, nothing has ever been official from Valve. There’s obviously a lot more details to come, and given it’s out in just two months, no doubt we’ll learn more about it in the near future.
