The Day Before Will Be Getting A Beta As The Developers Promise It’s Still On Track

Much like its zombies, The Day Before just keeps getting back up.

The Day Before, the game coming from Fntastic that many still struggle to believe is a real product, has resurfaced once again after a massive delay and coincidentally-timed trademark dispute over the game’s title.

Last we’d heard, the studio had neglected to trademark the name “The Day Before” and wound up in a legal scuffle with a calendar app of the same name, causing it to be delisted from Steam – where it had once been one of the platform’s most wishlisted titles. I was going to embed the most recent, 10-minute “gameplay” trailer from The Day Before below but can’t even do that because of the copyright claims.

Instead, it turns out that Fntastic dropped this… banger teaser video about a month ago:

Fast forward to this week and according to PCGamesN, an administrator on The Day Before Discord by the handle of Kentain has posted regarding the game’s current status, assuring fans it’s still on track and promising a beta test of some description closer to the game’s launch.

“We understand that many of you have been eagerly waiting for the release of this game, and we want to thank you for your patience and support throughout the development process,” Kentain wrote. “We have been working hard to ensure that the game meets our high standards, and we are confident that it will be worth the wait.

“As we get closer to the release date, we will be conducting a beta test for the game. This will give players the opportunity to try out the game before it is released and provide valuable feedback that we can use to improve the final product.

“And for those wondering if the game is gonna be on Steam, it should be on Steam, yes. Team is working on it.”

The post reportedly also reiterates that the game will release “without further delay,” indicating it’s still on track for its November 10th release date.
