The Day Before Has Locked In A Release Date And Will Feature Sports Cars For Some Reason

The Day Of has been revealed!

The Day Before, the game coming from developer Fntastic and publisher Mytona that many still struggle to believe is a real product, has resurfaced once again after a massive delay and coincidentally-timed trademark dispute over the game’s title.

Last we’d heard, the studio had neglected to trademark the name “The Day Before” and wound up in a legal scuffle with a calendar app of the same name, causing it to be delisted from Steam – where it had once been one of the platform’s most wishlisted titles. Not long after, Fntastic promised things were still on track and that a beta would be coming for the game.

Now, thanks to an interview with the studio published by our friends over at WellPlayed, we’ve not only learned that the game has pencilled in a firm release date of November 10th, but it’ll also be packing a surprisingly rich list of features in its open-world PVP survival sandbox, including player jobs, alliances and trade, and… sports cars. Yep, a brand-new, 30-second teaser exclusively revealed by WellPlayed has given us a look at an ambiguously-designed sports motor ve-hic-le that players will presumably be able to drive around the zombie-infested streets of Fortune City.

The whole interview is well worth a read, going into the “volunteer” culture at Fntastic, its legal issues and status on Steam as well as a heap of interesting details around The Day Before’s gameplay ambitions. Time will tell what, if anything, we actually get to play come November 10 (on PC only, console release information will apparently come after launch).
