God Of War Ragnarok’s PC System Requirements Have Been Revealed Along With New Screenshots

Oh, boy.

PC players will finally be able to experience Sony Santa Monica’s excellent sequel, God of War Ragnarok, starting September 19th, and ahead of launch we’ve finally got a look at the kind of rig you’ll need to be running to play the game in all its glory.

Unsurprisingly, it’s all pretty well in line with what we’ve seen from other recent PlayStation PC ports, and in some categories even slightly more generous than something like Horizon: Forbidden West. To get the minimum experience you’ll be fine with something as entry-level as an AMD RX 5500 XT GPU and Ryzen 3 CPU (or equivalent) and just 8GB of RAM, estimated to offer a 1080p resolution at 30FPS on low settings – though jumping up to 4K resolutions at higher framerates is naturally an equally big jump up in hardware needed. For those looking to crank things to the max, you’ll need at least a Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti or AMD RX 7900 XT accompanied by a capable CPU.

SSD storage with a whopping 190GB available space is also a base requirement across the board, regardless of any other spec.

PlayStation has also confirmed that the game will support all major GPU manufacturers’ various upscaling and frame generations, including Nvidia DLSS 3.7, AMD FSR 3.1 and Intel XeSS 1.3. The specs listed are not inclusive of these, so you’ll more than likely get an even smoother experience using them.

Along with revealing the system requirements, the post on the PlayStation Blog also includes a bunch of new screenshots from the PC version, highlighting the kind of experience you could have with the visuals cranked to the nine realms, as well as in ultrawide display. Take a look:

Finally, PlayStation has also revealed some new DLC as a bonus for those that pre-order the game on PC, which includes some very nice-looking new outfits for Kratos and Atreus:
