EB Games will begun taking Expressions of Interest for PS5 units starting today.
This means you can head into a store and put your name down for a PS5 console and EB will contact you (via text or email) as soon as local pre-order details have been announced. You won’t need to put any cash down for this at this stage.
At this stage it won’t mean that a console is reserved for you, but it’ll mean that you are the first to get the details when they are announced. This could also go a long way in deciding how stock is allocated to stores, so it’s definitely worth putting your name down if you have intention to preorder once local details are announced.
JB Hi-Fi is also taking Expressions of Interest for consoles. It’s a similar deal where you won’t put any money down and JB Hi-Fi will contact you once more details are known.
Sony has noted that stock is expected to be limited at launch.
