It looks like Sony is willing to do anything to try and sell as many PS5s as possible this Holiday. As we reported some time ago that Sony has doubled PS5 production for the holiday season, and it now looks as though it will air freight some of those PS5 consoles into America (at the least) in order to ensure that there’s as many consoles available as possible.
For those unaware, air freight is a lot more expensive than sending products by sea, but obviously it’s a lot quicker. According to industry analyst, Daniel Ahmad, there’s currently 60 flights ordered from October to take PS5s to the USA, but it’s unclear if those 60 flights are all booked solely for the purpose of sending over PS5 units.
Just to clarify one point. I'm not 100% certain if this is 60 flights, or 60 aircraft. But it does sound like each flight will be full.
