UPDATE: Nintendo has now updated all of the renders (both stills and animated) of the Nintendo Switch 2 on the official website and Nintendo Today app with the C button.
There’s still no confirmation on what the button does, but we do expect it to be a big part of the Nintendo Switch 2 reveal this week, particularly because Nintendo chose to hide this initially.

ORIGINAL STORY: Before the Nintendo Switch 2 was officially announced at the start of the year, leakers such as Dbrand revealed that the new Joy-Con controllers would have a mysterious new C button.
When Nintendo officially announced the console, the button was present in all of the images, but the C was edited out so that it was just a blank button, presumably wanting to save the reveal for the Nintendo Direct next week.
Whilst not a huge deal, in its brand new Nintendo Today app that it just released, the image of the Nintendo Switch 2 (which is one we’ve seen before) now has the final version of the Joy-Cons on it confirming that there is a new C button.
This is in addition to the share button that is on the left Joy-Con and we still don’t know what functionality it has, but that will all be revealed next Wednesday night.
The Nintendo Today app will bring daily Nintendo updates starting with news about the Nintendo Switch 2 following the Nintendo Switch 2 direct next week. You can download the app for iOS HERE or for Android HERE.
