The First PS5 DualSense Controller Unboxing Has Arrived

Our first unboxing of the PS5 DualSense controller has arrived. It comes courtesy of YouTuber Austin Evans. It’s unclear if he was sent the controller by Sony or if he picked it up at one of the retailers that seemed to have gotten shipments early.

Firstly, we get our first look at the back of the box which confirms all the features such as Haptic Feedback, Adaptive Triggers, a built in Microphone and enhanced comfort. The box also confirms that the controller will only be compatible with PS5.

Interestingly enough, when Evans plugged the controller into his PS4, the microphone from the DualSense controller actually worked, although it looks like the actual controller inputs did not. When plugged into the PC, it worked out of the box.

When connected wirelessly to a mobile, it worked completely fine out of the box to play a game from Xbox Game Pass.
