Death Stranding Director’s Cut was properly revealed at the PlayStation State of Play. It’s releasing on September 24th exclusively for PS5 and there’s actually quite a bit of new content in the new package.
The Director’s Cut will have new story missions, new battles, improved melee/combat, more weapons, a firing range, new cargo/transport possibilities (a damn cargo launcher), enhancements to the UI and a racing mode.
If you already own the PS4 version of the game (digital or physical), you can get the Director’s Cut on PS5 with a $10 (USD) upgrade. Right now, the cheapest way to get the game would be to buy the PS4 version ($24 on Amazon currently) and pay the fee to upgrade once it’s available.
