Look, you probably know what you’re getting with FIFA every year but here’s the new trailer to whet your appetite anyway.
While this is the “gameplay trailer” it’s comprised of mostly footage shown at last months’ EA Play event, though it’s nice to see a bit more here.
The newest, the next-gen only feature is the Hypermotion animation system. The developers claim it allows the team to deliver higher quality animation after placing tracking devices on soccer players to give a more realistic looking flow to the game than ever. EA has called it the “biggest animation refresh in FIFA history” so you can hopefully expect a game that looks and feels newer than previous entries.
FIFA 22 releases on October 1st, 2021 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch. Streamotion
