Activision has confirmed that this year’s Call of Duty game is a sequel to Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019). The game is being developed by Infinity Ward and it will utilise a brand new engine.
Further to this, the game as well as a brand new Call of Duty: Warzone experience will be built from the ground up and players can expect a “massive evolution of battle royale with an all-new play space and a new sandbox mode”. The new Warzone experience will also utilise the new engine that is being created.
We’d expect that the reveal of the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare title as well as whatever Infinity Ward has in store for Warzone is still a few months away.
