Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II

Here’s A New Look At Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare II’s Campaign In Action

Talk about wet work!

At this morning’s Summer Games Fest, Geoff Keighley introduced Joanna Faries, who was last year was appointed the general manager of the Call of Duty franchise. She introduced gamers to a big slice of the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II’s single-player campaign.

The gameplay shows Task Force 141 infiltrating a cargo ship on rough seas. While it’s full of the usual beats you come to expect, such as big guns and explosions, this level in particular shows off some of what the team has been working on in terms of their redefined water effects. It also features some cool dynamic play with the shipping containers becoming dislodged and posing a threat as the team makes their way across the deck.

The level also introduces players to Graves, whose assistance to Task Force 141 through his private militia Shadow Company is sure to provide a few narrative twists and turns.

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II  beta has been confirmed as coming to PlayStation consoles first, and the game itself releases on October 28.
