The Hogwarts Legacy Collector’s Edition sold out within a minute or two after going live at EB Games yesterday.
This is even after it was revealed that gamers would be paying $500 AUD for the Collector’s Edition which includes a wizardry book with a magic wand floating over it as well as a bunch of other in-game goodies.
As it seems to be the way in modern times, several Collector’s Editions appeared on eBay are more than double the price, with a decent number of confirmed pre-orders going up at $1,000 or more.
What’s even more surprising is the fact that several of these have been purchased on eBay ranging anywhere from $910 to $775. No doubt Harry Potter collectors will be seperate to get their hands on the package.
Similar to the God of War Ragnarok Jotnar Edition, which also sold out very quickly with many units appearing on eBay, it seems unlikely that there will be another shipment of these.
Hogwarts Legacy launches on February 10th (or 7th for early access). The cheapest copy is currently $82 from Amazon with free shipping.
