God Of War Ragnarok Preloading Has Begun And PS4 Owners Are In For A Hefty Download

Preloading for God of War Ragnarök has officially kicked off on both PS5 and PS4 for those who’ve pre-ordered the game digitally.

PlayStation Game Size on Twitter posted the preload details overnight, revealing that the game weighs in at a whopping 106GB on PS4. Those installing the game on PS5 fare slightly better thanks to the console’s superior compression, with the install on Sony’s newest machine coming in at a tidier (but still not small) 84GB.

While digital punters will be waiting until the game unlocks in their region to start playing, physical copies of the game have already appeared in the wild thanks to a retailer selling it early, prompting Santa Monica Studio to issue a statement warning fans of spoilers.

God of War Ragnarok releases on November 9th for PS5 and PS4. Amazon currently has the cheapest prices at $98 for PS5 and $79 for PS4. A bundle including the PS5 disc console and a digital copy of the game looks to be on the way, too.
