Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Third Major Update Has A Release Date

A Festival of Friendship is coming!

Gameloft has announced the release date for the third major Disney Dreamlight Valley content update, titled A Festival of Friendship.

The update, which is the first part of the game’s just-announced 2023 roadmap, will include Encanto’s Mirabel and Frozen’s Olaf as new characters to reside in players’ games. It’ll also add new story/quest content to the Frosted Heights biome and introduce a new Star Path (the game’s season pass-style progression) celebrating Disney’s 100th anniversary with new challenges to complete and clothing and decorations to unlock. It’s set to arrive on February 16th.

New key art for the update was also released giving us a look at the new characters and their respective houses, plus a glimpse at some of the new character outfits and a bit of a tease at the Frosted Heights content.

Gameloft says it’s got more to reveal about the update, including new improvements coming to the game itself, over the next few days.

This update will be followed by a new realm, Simba, a Disney Parks Star Path and more in April.

Then in early Winter we’ll be getting even more new story content and characters, but perhaps most exciting is what the team at Gameloft is promising beyond that. At the end of the current roadmap, the studio says that even more characters, realms and items will be added to the game plus the addition of multiplayer. While we don’t yet know exactly what multiplayer gameplay will entail, the accompanying graphic suggests it’ll at least involve being able to visit other players worlds.
