Konami has announced the release date for the next big Bomberman title, Super Bomberman R2.
The game is launching on September 14th for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch and PC, celebrating the franchise’s 40th anniversary with what looks to be one of the most fully-featured Bomberman experiences yet with all of the standard modes, online and offline play, an enhanced Story Mode, a stage editor and the new Castle Mode.
Castle Mode will accomodate up to 16 players, divided into two teams, with an attacking and defending side fighting over keys and treasure chests placed within the stages (and using classic Bomberman mechanics of course). Players will also be able to edit stages for Castle Mode.
