PowerWash Simulator Is Getting A Warhammer 40K Expansion Later This Year

40,000 PSI

PowerWash Simulator has already has some pretty neat content expansions rock up since it became a viral success and begun its expansion onto new platforms. We’ve seen the likes of Lara Croft’s Tomb Raider Mansion, various vehicles and locations from Final Fantasy VII and most recently a neat SpongeBob SquarePants content drop.

The PowerWash Sim train isn’t losing steam any time soon though, with a previously-announced roadmap of new free and paid content already planned to take players through the rest of the year. Another free “Muckingham Files” update is planned to drop soon in Q3, following a similar update that released back in April, followed by an unannounced paid DLC.

Moving forward to Q4, a mystery drop of free seasonal content is planned, and then finally something very out-of-pocket but exciting – a paid Warhammer 40,000 DLC expansion for the game. This was actually first revealed a few weeks ago but with an updated roadmap shared by developer FuturLab we now know that it’s due sometime in the last quarter of the year. How exciting!

There’s a very brief, very uninformative teaser video from the original PowerWash Simulator Warhammer 40K announcement, if you like seeing logos:

With one paid DLC expansion still a mystery, and coming before the revealed Warhammer one, it’ll be interesting to see just what else the folks at FuturLab have cooking. The connections with publisher Square Enix could result in more Final Fantasy collaborations or something else from its huge catalogue of IP, or we could see more left-of-field stuff in the vein of SpongeBob and Warhammer. I personally would love to see some kind of grimy horror setting like a Resident Evil or Dead Space locale, but given the game’s G rating I don’t anticipate that happening.

Powerwash Simulator is out now for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch and PC. Physical copies are available at Amazon for $29 with free shipping.
