The Latest Twisted Metal Trailer Is The Best Look At The Show Yet

I think I'm sold.

Peacock has premiered a brand-new trailer for Twisted Metal, the upcoming TV series based on the iconic PlayStation vehicular combat video game franchise.

While the previous trailer for the show certainly set a particular tone with John Doe and Sweet Tooth duetting Thong Song in a dilapidated casino, this new ones finally gives us a much clearer indication of the moment-to-moment of the series. The explicit new official trailer gives us a good look at some of the show’s stars like Anthony Mackie (John Doe), Samoa Joe (Sweet Tooth), Will Arnett (Sweet Tooth’s voice), Stephanie Beatriz (Quiet), Thomas Haden Church (Agent Stone), Neve Campbell (Raven) and more, with plenty of cars, guns, jokes and delightfully campy acting.

Twisted premieres its run of ten, half-hour episodes on July 27th. For Aussies, it’ll be available to watch through Stan. I honestly still have no idea whether this is going to be good, so-bad-it’s-good or just plain bad, but I’m absolutely going to be subjecting myself to it to find out.

Official Synopsis: Twisted Metal, a half-hour live-action TV series based on the classic PlayStation game series, is a high-octane action comedy, based on an original take by Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick and written by Michael Jonathan Smith, about a motor-mouthed outsider offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With the help of a badass axe-wielding car thief, he’ll face savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown who drives an all too familiar ice cream truck.
