505 Games and One More Level have finally revealed the release date for the sequel to 2020’s excellent ultra-tough first person platformer, Ghostrunner, and while it’s great to know the game’s not far off from launch now, it’s also chosen just about the most stacked month to release in.
When it drops for PS5, Xbox Series X and PC on October 26th, Ghostrunner 2 will be joining the likes of Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Detective Pikachu Returns, Forza Motorsport, Lords of the Fallen, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Alan Wake II and many more big-ticket titles all in the same month. With Alan Wake II having just been moved to October 27th it’s launching right before that and coming up into early November territory as well.
Luckily, the game looks set to stand out plenty on its own by following up an already-blistering thrill ride of an experience with what looks to be markedly more balls-to-the-wall ridiculous and massively amped-up in scope. Ghostrunner 2 will be coming in three different flavours with a standard edition, a Deluxe Edition and a “Brutal Edition,” with the Brutal version granting two days early access to the game on October 24th and the game’s Season Pass. Here’s what’s in each:
