In today’s edition of How Many Games Can Anyone Possibly Fit Into One Month?, it’s been revealed that The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria, the co-op survival crafting game based on the iconic fantasy universe, will be hitting PS5 and PC this October 24th.
IGN has exclusively revealed that this will be a digital-only launch on both platforms, with a physical PS5 release coming on December 5th and a version for Xbox Series X|S set to debut in “early 2024,” although no reason was given as to why the game is arriving late on Xbox.
Return to Moria is in development at indie studio Free Range Games and will be the second major (non-mobile) Lord of the Rings video game release this year, following up Daedalic Entertainment’s poorly-received The Lord of the Rings: Gollum and hopefully faring better than that title. Even more titles based on the Lord of the Rings property are in the works, including an unknown game from Weta and an MMO from Amazon.
