Available on PlayStation 4 and 5, Roblox lets you explore and share experiences with friends. With over 65 million daily active users and a huge variety of 3D immersive experiences created by a global community, there’s always something new to discover.
Original Story: It’s hard to believe it’s taken this long, but global phenomenon online platform and game creation tool, Roblox, is finally making its way to PlayStation consoles, with a PS5 and PS4 version of the Roblox app announced at Roblox Developer Conference (RDC) 2023.
It marks only the second console release for Roblox since its 2006 debut on PC and 2015 Xbox launch, with the accompanying blog post reading, “And, at long last, we announced that next month, millions of Playstation console owners will be able to access the full catalog of Roblox experiences. Getting our developers’ experiences onto these two amazing platforms is a significant step toward making Roblox available on all of the most popular devices. And we’re not stopping there! ”
Alongside the PlayStation release, the existing Roblox app on Xbox is also getting a major overhaul with a new look, frequent updates with better platform feature parity, better content curation and an improved user experience. After an open beta period, Roblox is also rolling out in full to Meta Quest devices later this month.
Roblox will release on October 10th for PlayStation, and you can wishlist it on the PlayStation Store here to be notified when it’s ready to download.
