Update: The free online multiplayer weekend may have come and gone, but the next bit of excitement in PlayStation’s Season of Play is the giveaway of a PS5 console along with 12 months of PlayStation Plus Deluxe
To enter, you’ll need to head here and answer a series of five questions before January 5th, 2024 – you may even have to do some research and educated guesswork if you want to get them right. There will be separate winners for each major PlayStation region so you’re not competing with the entire globe for this one.

PlayStation has announced a free online multiplayer weekend happening this week, giving all PS5 and PS4 owners the chance to take their skills online for a couple of days without the need for a PlayStation Plus membership.
Kicking off on December 9th at 12:01 AM and running through to December 10 at 11:59 PM in “local time,” you’ll be able to challenge your mates or total strangers on the pitch, the field of battle or go on epic adventures together in the games you own at no extra cost.
It’s all a part of a wider celebration dubbed the PlayStation Plus Season of Play and it also includes exclusive avatars based on iconic PlayStation Plus games like Ghost of Tsushima, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege and Final Fantasy VII Remake that players can redeem through their console, as well as special online tournaments where PS+ members can compete in featured titles like EA Sports FC 24, NBA 2K24, Madden NFL 24 and MLB the Show 23 for prizes including memberships.
On top of all that, a sweepstakes giveaway is coming up on December 20th where anyone will be able to enter by heading to the PlayStation Plus website and answering a series of trivia-style questions about games in the PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue for the chance to win a PS5 console plus 12 months of PlayStation Plus Deluxe.
