Fresh off of the announcement during the recent Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase that the original Monster Hunter Stories would be coming to Switch, PS4 and PC, Capcom has now revealed that its once-Switch-and-PC-exclusive sequel, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, will also be headed to PS4.
Revealed during Capcom’s split Capcom Highlights showcase, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will release alongside the remaster of the first game, and both now have a firm release date of June 14th, 2024.
A Standard and Deluxe Edition of the game will be available, with the Deluxe containing extra outfits, armours, sticker sets and more and pre-orders for either version containing a special Kamura Maiden outfit for Ena. Players who link save data from Monster Hunter Rise will also get a Kamura Garb armour as a bonus.

We gave Monster Hunter Stories 2 an 8.5/10 in our review back in 2021, saying, “Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is even more enjoyable than the original. Small and meaningful improvement build on the same addictive formula and rewarding battle system, with an endearing story to boot that’ll hook in any fan of the franchise. The current state of the Switch version is a shame, but if you can get past the problems, Wings of Ruin has a lot to offer.”
