Ubisoft has today announced Rainbow Six Siege X which is a total overhaul of Siege that will release on June 11th free for those playing on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
WHAT’S NEW IN RAINBOW SIX SIEGE X
There’s a brand new mode called Dual Front, which will be available only on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. It’s a 6v6 mode where players must defend three enemy sectors whilst defending their own in a brand new map. Operators will have abilities, weapons and gadgets that have never been seen before and it will totally change up the Siege experience. You can read our in-depth preview of it HERE.
Rainbow Six Siege X Hands-On Preview – The Most Ambitious Update Yet
Siege X provides visually enhanced classic Siege maps with new lighting, shadows and 4K textures with Clubhouse, Chalet, Border, Bank and Kafe to all be enhanced at launch, with three additional maps to be added with each season. The updated levels will also have changes to the level structure to provide more strategic opportunities as well.
On that same June 11th launch date, Rainbow Six Siege will go free to access with new players having free access to Dual Front, Unranked and Quick Play modes and the ability to earn up to 26 operators through progression.
There will also be a beta launching on March 19th on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC which will include the full dual operator experience and a preview of Siege X updates.
