The Oculus Quest Pro Looks To Have Leaked Showing Off A Smaller Headset With Full Body Tracking

A number of Oculus Quest Pro leaks look to have started hitting the internet this morning. These leaks come courtesy of a number of setup videos that found their way onto the internet (we saw them on UploadVR).

The new Oculus Quest Pro which looks set to be announced later this week at Facebook Connect seems to sport a much smaller headset that’s almost goggle like. The controllers look to have dropped the ring which would imply that there’s a new form of tracking. Similarly, the user seems to pick the new controllers up from some kind of charging pad.

Interestingly enough, one of the videos also shows body and facial tracking. An earlier patient showed body tracking using a mirror, which would be a clever, but efficient way to track the body without a much more complex tracking system, whilst inside out tracking would potentially provide facial movements.

Regardless, this doesn’t seem like it’ll be an update that reinvents the wheel, but similar to last year’s Oculus Quest 2 release, it does seem like it’ll improve the experience whilst making the headset even slimmer and lighter to hopefully be more comfortable for even more users.

We’ll let you know once we have an official announcement (likely to be on Friday).
