Obsidian has revealed the first game that they’ll be creating since being acquired by Microsoft.
It’s called Grounded and it’s a first-person, co-op survival game that’s coming in 2020 to Xbox Game Preview and Xbox Game Pass. Grounded will also be the first Xbox Game Preview title that’s available on Xbox Game Pass.
Grounded will shrink players to the size of an ant and be tasked with surviving in the world of a suburban backyard. You must work with other players to gather, craft and build bases with everyday objects within the yard.
The game provides a mix of environmental and narrative driven story telling and was created by a smaller development team within Obsidian. It’s a passion project by some of the studio’s most talented individuals.
